Going Alone

I guess
I’m going alone
Although that is not what
I intended.

It appears
Time is deaf
And cannot hear
My call.

I shouted
Then I screamed
Trying hard
To gain attention.

But time
Has no ears
And must not
Care.

So I will
Go alone
Into the proverbial
Dark and stormy night.
